This means they output 12 volts, and the sum of the amps of the two of them. G) Your batteries are hooked up in parallel. Generally speaking, try to only work with negative or positive cables at any given time. Otherwise wrap some electrical tape around the lug. If you have little rubber caps or something, that'd be even better. This way if the cable gets pushed out of the way while I'm working, I don't accidently push it into something like a cable/battery pole of the opposite polarity and cause a short (as in Boom, sparks, bad things!). So long as you have no metal and are not working in wet weather, you should be fine so long as you don't let a wrench or screw driver or something lay across both positive and negative cables at the same time.į) When removing a lug from its position on the battery, unless I'm moving it to somewhere else right then, I always immediately wrap a little plastic baggy or two around it (I have small ones that are just a few inches square). It happened to a service tech while I was in a RV repair center once, and he got a nasty burn around his finger because of his wedding band, which he'd forgotten to take off. This step is important because if you have metal on your hand/fingers and accidently touch a positive cable to it, you can get shocked and burned. This is needed for working on the battery cables, as if it is on and you remove the negative wires (ground), you can burn out your LVD.ī) Engine off, so no charging coming from there.Ĭ) Shore power NOT plugged in, so no charging from there.ĭ) If you want to be super-safe, you can throw a blanket over the solar panel, so no power charging from it.Į) Take off ALL jewelry from both hands. If anyone else reads this and sees something I've missed, please chime in.Ī) Put the coach in Store mode, where the red light is on. Oh, 2003 with a 7.3L Diesel if that matters. It seems simple enough, just a bit intimidated by it all and need to be confident I have a plan going in - which at this point I do not (have a clue). I prefer to figure this out myself (with your help of course) versus seeking help somewhere. I'm assuming before I start disconnecting anything that I need to obviously be off shore power, in "store" mode - anything else need to be shut down/disconnected to preserve my life! Which cable is going to the Start Battery, or none? and does that even matter? Should the start battery cable also go through the shunt? So many questions.Īnyway, I'm confused and need a little guidance if there is any to offer here. How do I know what's what? I also expected to see a different config of the two batteries cabled in series, but I don't think they are - it seems like they are independent of each other, or at least have the loads split between to two? I have no idea. Shunt instructions are pretty basic - Attach all the drawing loads to the Negative side of the shunt, run the positive lead to the positive on the battery and done! There's a video on the Victron Site and YouTube, but. Similarly, the shunt can signal the charging system to stop charging the battery once it reaches full capacity, preventing overcharging.Īll in all, a smart shunt optimises your energy efficiency by monitoring (via a battery monitor) the amount of energy being consumed by appliances and other devices connected to the battery, allowing for a more efficient use of power and longer battery life. So, total novice on this stuff, but for whatever reason I didn't expect to see this - all the cables and various connection points. When the battery reaches a predetermined low voltage, the shunt can signal the charging system to stop discharging the battery, preventing damage. This information can be used to adjust charging and discharging settings to ensure optimal battery performance and longevity.Ī smart shunt can help protect the lithium battery from damage due to over-discharge or overcharge. With the help of a battery monitor, you can easily view the amount of current flowing in and out of the battery and the battery's state of charge, which is crucial for managing battery life and preventing overcharging or undercharging.

At the current time, we recommend beginning by enabling compatibility mode enforcement for your application. We are working with our ecosystem developers to clean up any of this behavior. Today, it is recommended to enable your application in compatibility mode, as third-party DLLs may be injected into your process, and subsequently perform return address hijacking. Strict mode, by definition, strictly enforces shadow stack protections and will terminate the process if the intended return address is also not on the shadow stack. Note that all native 64-bit Windows DLLs are compiled with /CETCOMPAT. Note that by default this API can only be called from outside the target process for security purposes. To protect dynamic code in compatibility mode, there is a new API, SetProcessDynamicEnforcedCetCompatibleRanges, to allow you to specify a range of virtual addresses to enforce this mitigation. This way, you can slowly increase the coverage of the mitigation, by compiling more modules with /CETCOMPAT at your own pace. If either hold true, the execution is allowed to continue. When a return address mismatch occurs in this mode, it is checked to see if 1) it is not in an image binary (from dynamic code) or 2) in a module that is not compiled for /CETCOMPAT. Compatibility mode provides a more flexible enforcement of shadow stacks, at module granularity. Shadow stack enforcement by default is in compatibility mode. This allows programs with multiple executables with the same name to specify specific processes to enable enforcement. However, if your code behavior includes modifying the return addresses on the stack (which results in mismatch with the shadow stack), then the hijacking code must be removed.Īpplications can also choose to dynamically enable shadow stack enforcement, by using the PROC_THREAD_ATTIBUTE_MITIGATION_POLICY attribute in CreateProcess. Generally, code changes are not needed and the only modification to the binary is a bit in the PE header. To enable shadow stack enforcement on an application, you only need to recompile the application with the /CETCOMPAT linker flag (available in Visual Studio 2019 16.7 Preview 4). Due to these required hardware capabilities only newer processors will have this feature. On supported hardware, call instructions push the return address on both stacks and return instructions compare the values and issues a CPU exception if there is a return address mismatch. Shadow stack is a hardware-enforced read-only memory region that helps keep record of the intended control-flow of the program. Shadow stack hardens the return address and instruction pointer validation protects exception handling targets. We will describe in detail the two policies in Hardware-enforced Stack Protection: 1) shadow stack 2) instruction pointer validation. More details on ROP and hardware shadow stacks is in this kernel blog.įor user mode applications, this mitigation is opt-in, and the following details are intended to aid developers in understanding how to build protected applications. This technique is known as return-oriented programming (ROP). When attackers find a vulnerability that allows them to overwrite values on the stack, a common exploit technique is to overwrite return addresses into attacker-defined locations to build a malicious payload. This exploit mitigation will protect the return address, and work with other Windows mitigations to prevent exploit techniques that aim to achieve arbitrary code execution. Starting from the 11C latest cumulative update for 20H1 (19041) and 20H2 (19042) versions of Windows 10, we’ve enabled user mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection for supported hardware. Please see requirements section for hardware and OS requirements to take advantage of Hardware-enforced Stack Protection. Today, we are excited to share the next level of details with our developer community around protecting user-mode applications with this feature. In March 2020, we share d some preliminary information about a new security feature in Windows called Hardware-enforced Stack Protection based on Intel’s Control-flow Enforcement Technology (CET). It's been excellent that GW has included competitive players like him in the design process of the game however, there's others on the team who have prefer to go unnamed, and it's definitely resulted in a more balanced game. And even then, let's just remember he's 1 person on a team and judging by some of his statements, he still only had so much pull. Renegade Knights came out a week or so ago so that's probably the first real dex he's properly contributed to, and even that is mostly just a twisted mirror of Imperial Knights. This is due to the long amount of time between the writing of a dexes rules, and the time it takes to go to print and then actually hit stores. While he's been on the team for at least a year, he said he just missed the cut off for Genestealer Cults, and that was the most recent dex to hit the meta. Not taking anything away from him, but credit where it's due, that was probably the work of the rest of the team you have seen so far, and we'll see the impact of Geoff's contribution to testing in coming months actually.

Is a summoner viable at ALL anymore? Am I missing something here? It feels like they nerfed it so hard they may as well have removed it. Originally posted by Khaos (S'A):Now.my incarnate died to the two voidlings you first fight on the ship. Its the strongest skill early on, the weakest later. However, summoning still suffers from the same poor scaling issue it always has, though slightly less in the DE. The one good thing a lone wolf summoner has is the ability to cast all 4 infusion buffs later in the game in the same turn as they summon. If I had to rank them in a general sense it pretty much goes:Īrcher>all int builds (aero/hydro>Geo>necro>Pyro) > all other finesse builds > All strength builds. Rogues can be strong too, but archers outperform them. After act one, anything else will be more powerful than your incarnate. While you will have it be powerful with summoning 10 really early on, you're still summoning something that doesn't have the lone wolf bonuses. I find this funny to a degree as summoning is probably the worst skill to give a lone wolf. Don't be afraid to run away if you mess up and all is lost, come back and try again. Summoner is OP if used correctly, such as level 10 summoning and also pre fight summoning and buffing of incarnate (usually left with about 5 turns), then spam totems during fight. Turnover at InSpeech soared to 56 percent by the end of 1987, as therapists who could not make the transition from their relatively autonomous working environment to a tightly controlled corporate culture left. Foster took InSpeech public in November and spent the next year integrating his purchases.ĭuring this time, the significance of InSpeech's human assets-its therapists-came to the fore, as InSpeech suffered a backlash from clinicians who perceived the company's integration and economization methods as infringements on their ability to provide quality care. The May 1986 purchase of Irwin Lehrhoff Associates gave InSpeech a national presence, and acquisitions in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, North Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin followed within the year. With the backing of partners, Foster began immediately to augment InSpeech through acquisitions of occupational and physical therapy businesses. Foster also wanted to establish a strong market presence and become a service sector "category killer." Whereas nursing homes and hospitals often did not have enough patients to justify employment of a full-time therapist and suffered high turnover, InSpeech could staff more cost-effectively than health care institutions, pay its employees higher salaries on average than they made independently, and still earn a high return on equity through economies of scale. The rehabilitation industry offered inherently low overhead-the therapists themselves represented the overhead and the assets-that would be further enhanced through consolidation. InSpeech also lobbied for legislation that required nursing homes to provide therapy to residents, which further boosted its potential market. Foster foresaw the expansion of the rehabilitation industry, as Americans (especially the "baby boomer" generation) continued to age and advances in the treatment of serious injuries resulted in physical impairment rather than death. At the time, the highly fragmented industry was dominated by thousands of local practices that Foster disparagingly called "mom and pop franchises" in an October 1991 Business Week article. venture capital firm in 1985.įoster then began to make good on his goal of consolidating and integrating rehabilitation services in America, using InSpeech as his base. He then used the profits from that sale to acquire InSpeech, Inc. In 1983, Foster sold his namesake venture to Avon Products Inc. In 1980, Foster, a medical services entrepreneur, founded Foster Medical Corp., a home health care services and equipment company, which he took public two years later. However, the company's phenomenal growth was largely attributable to the direction of John H. NovaCare was founded in 1976 as InSpeech, Inc. NovaCare is the largest non-government employer of rehabilitation therapists, and has a nine percent share of the orthotics and prosthetics field. If you do plan on bringing baby into your bed, be sure that you are following guidelines to make your arrangement as safe as possible. It’s estimated that between 60-70% of parents will bring their babies to bed at some point even if they hadn’t planned on it, so it’s best to be prepared either way. However, for some families bed sharing on the same surface is what feels best. You can read more about their guidelines here. These bassinets meet safety requirements per the CPSC. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) approved a new federal rule that will ensure that products marketed or intended for infant sleep will provide a safe sleep environment for babies under 5 months old and beginning in mid-2022, any product intended or marketed for infant sleep must meet a federal safety standard. This new recommendation comes after the AAP examined research that said sharing a room with your baby can reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) by up to 50%. Ideally, this arrangement will last up to 1 year. Firstly, deciding to room share with your baby means that you are already making an awesome safety choice! The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended that parents and caregivers share a room with their baby for the first 6 months of life. While researching the most- recommended and best-reviewed cosleeping bassinets, I had a few additional criteria to make sure they were up to my standards to recommend to the masses. |
